How many layers can you work into one space? Tree of life, flower of life, growing life, electrifying life, abomination of life.

When you stare at a placenta and umbilical cord long enough, they start to look like a twisted-up tree. We still cut the umbilical cord immediately after birth, when enough evidence shows it's not done providing nourishment and life. Humans aren't that much smarter than creatures, we just have a way of writing down all of our silliness for future generations.
